01What are cookies?
Cookies are tiny text files that websites place on your device when you visit. They let the site remember things about you — like your login state, language preference, or what's in your shopping basket — so it can give you a better experience next time.
Similar technologies (local storage, pixels, web beacons) work in slightly different ways but for our purposes here we'll call them all "cookies".
The short versionWe only set what we genuinely need. Marketing and analytics cookies stay off until you say yes.

We use cookies to:

- Remember your preferences (e.g. cookie consent choices, dark mode)
- Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it

Heads upCookie lists change over time as services are added or removed. We refresh this table whenever we update the site — but for an exact live audit, use a tool like Cookiebot, OneTrust or the browser DevTools.
05Third-party cookies
Some cookies on our site are set by third parties we work with. They each have their own privacy and cookie policies:

06Consent & control
The first time you visit our site, you'll see a cookie banner letting you accept all, reject non-essential, or customise your choices. We respect "reject" and "do not track" signals.
You can change your preferences at any time:
- Re-open the banner via the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer
- Manage at the browser level (see next section)
- Email us at privacy@advertising4trades.co.uk if you have questions
If you reject non-essential cookiesThe site still works perfectly. You may just see slightly less personalised content and we'll have a less accurate picture of how visitors use the site (which makes improving it harder, but that's the trade-off).

We may update this cookie policy as our use of cookies evolves — e.g. when we add or remove a third-party service. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will trigger a refreshed cookie consent banner.
